Reading a good book is the cheapest mode of travel you can find.
Pick out a place you would love to visit, then go to your local library and find a book that is about that location.
You do not have to just read books about a certain scenic place to be able to enjoy mentally traveling there.
Fiction books are an excellent way to travel through reading. the way the characters in a good book conduct their day to day lives set in different parts of the world will give you insight on what life is like in any place you are reading about.
