What happened to the old American attitude of looking out for your neighbor? There are so many companies that seem to be using every angle they can to get a dollar out of someone, that the idea of being honest with your fellowman has gone out the window and been replaced with pure greed.
One of the many places I have experienced this greed first hand is with automobile repair shops. They tell you that you need expensive work done on your vehicle, and several times in getting a second opinion, I have been told that there is no way they could know just from sight and sound that that particular service needed to be addressed at that time. I have no problem paying a fair price to have repair work done on my vehicles, but it really upsets me when they try to get me to pay for unneeded work just so they can make more money.
Life is tough enough for all of us without having to deal all the dishonesty in tradesmen.
I run my own business, and I try my best to give a fair price. Many people adjust their pricing according to their clients, and to me this is so wrong. Just because someone has more money than someone else does not mean that it is fair to charge them more for the same service.
We have seen many organizations fall in the past few years. When you look into how the collapse got started, you usually find that it all started with greed.
