Make Your Own Mark

We are truly creatures of habit. We tend to do things in like manner of our parents or siblings. Sometimes we inhibit ourselves from growth by our own reluctance to try things differently.

As young children we are taught by our parents how to do things. If they want us to be right handed, they will continually put our spoon or crayons in our right hand, , encouraging us to develop the use of our right hand over our left.

Little examples such as this may seem trivial at first, but as we grow we start mimicking others and become accustomed to doing things the way they have always been done. This is really not a good way to approach life.

We need to be open to new ideas and new methods of reaching our own goals.

The only way to blend in with the constant changes in our universe, it to be willing to take the risks of approaching life from a different angle than everyone else. What works  well for others is not necessarily the route we need to stay on.

Reaching out to try new ways of accomplishing things can be a bit intimidating, but the rewards greatly out weigh the risks.

We are all created individually and in order to serve our purpose we need to run our own race. We need to search with-in ourselves to find the determination and courage to take the risks of approaching life on our own terms, even if this means that we may do things differently than anyone else.
