Carl Edwards is greatly involved in charity work.

In July, Edwards hosted a meet and greet at Gateway International Raceway, for the children associated with his Dream Factory Charity.

 Though the race, which Carl won, was exciting for the children, the one on one time that Carl spent with these children and their families had a much greater impact on all those involved.

Carl never refuses to step up to the plate when he is presented with a need. He has an innate skill of knowing how to relate to children. He instinctively gets down on their level so as not to intimidate them. For such a small man physically, Carl has a huge heart.
